Kuna Panama Aged Ron is a rum produced at the crossroads of North and South America: Panama.
This 8 year old rum is an interesting mix of rum making traditions. During the Panamanian dry season (from December to April), the freshly squeezed sugar cane juice is fermented and then distilled before being placed in ex-Bourbon oak barrels used for ageing. The texture is rich and full of dried red fruits and ripe red wine, with a hint of red wine on the tongue.
Taste
Warm toffee and caramel flavours at the beginning. Then floral notes of vanilla and apple blossom and ending with leather notes. The texture is rich with notes of dried red fruit and mature red wine.
Nose
The nose is dry at first, with floral notes before giving way to more sustained notes of vanilla and caramel. A hint of ageing in red wine barrels also appears.

Light gold.
