EMPEROR
London Bridge
Mauritius | 40° alc | 70 cl
This unique rum has benefited from a 12 month finish in old Sauternes barrels from Château Clos Haut- Peraguey – Grand Cru Classé 1855.
The delicate aromas remain on the palate, where candied apricot, quince and ginger invite a new journey.
The toasted and slightly toasted notes are inherited from the oak barrels and contribute to the elegance of this limited and numbered edition.
The vineyard of Château Clos Haut-Peyraguey, nestled at the highest point of the plateau of the commune of Bommes in the Sauternes region, is at the heart of the Premiers Crus Classé in 1855.
Facing Château d’Yquem, this ancient barony has survived the centuries since its first harvest in 1618, benefiting from a unique terroir and climatic conditions combined with an ancestral know-how that enables it to give its grapes a symphony of excellence resulting in a unique and prestigious golden wine: The Sauternes of Château Clos Haut-Peyraguey.
Taste
The whole is melted, complex, the powerful and unctuous aromatic spectrum hints at the mellowness of the wine. In a sensation of silk and velvet, reminiscent of white summer flowers and yellow fruit, the persistence is infinite.
Nose
The nose and palate perfectly combine notes of sweet spices, roasted pineapple and toasted brioche.
Colour
Emperor London Bridge has a sublime old gold colour
